Maria Black is President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. In this role, she leads ADP’s sales and marketing strategy and go-to-market activities to strengthen ADP’s brand awareness and grow market share.
Previously, Maria served as President of Small Business Solutions and Human Resources Outsourcing, where she led organizations including ADP’s Small Business Services, Retirement Services, Insurance Services, ADP Workforce® Now Comprehensive Services, ADP Resource®, and ADP TotalSource® — the largest Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in the United States. Joining ADP in 1996 as a sales associate in Small Business Services, Maria learned the business from the ground up by selling payroll door-to-door. She went on to assume leadership roles in sales, client services and operations, and served as the General Manager for ADP United Kingdom during which time she led the successful expansion of ADP’s human capital management offerings.
With a mission to foster diversity and inclusion and ignite meaningful collaboration across the business and industry, Maria has championed corporate social responsibility efforts and served in a number of professional organizations during her tenure at ADP. Maria is a member of the Global 50, a peer forum for global executives within the World 50 Community that focuses on gaining insights into challenges and opportunities connected with business leadership, growth, operations and governance. Maria also has played a key role in developing people and fostering leadership opportunities. She serves as executive sponsor for ADP Women in Leadership (WIL)®. In addition, she is a member of FORTUNE® magazine’s “Most Powerful Women” community. Through her avid volunteer efforts, Maria champions causes for which she is passionate, including having served as executive sponsor of the ADP Veteran Empowerment project.
A native of Sweden, Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and international affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
